IMPORTANT NOTICE

Received this message on Sunday August 13th:

I was off this past week, but I understand that the gates are and will
continue to be at the lower position for your tournament. There is
approximately 6 inches or 15 cm of drop in water levels through the gates
currently owing to the high flows in the river. This is why OPG chose not
to lift them to their navigable setting.

Please be advised that the navigable level passage at the Iroquois Dam is
currently closed. And is likely to remain closed for the foreseeable future
based on the official notification from Ontario Hydro.

Subsequently anglers participating in Renegade Bass Tournaments
which include the 2017 Thousand Islands Open out of Rockport and
Qualifier # 4 out of Morrisburg may NOT attempt to navigate
beyond the Iroquois Dam until further notice. This also includes
locking which is disallowed in all Renegade Bass events.
