“Huge shout out to Matt Massey, Robert Greenberg, JP DeRose, Mike Judge, Jim McLaughlin, and Renegade Bass Tour staff for another awesome event this past weekend at the 1000 islands open” – Lenny Devos, August 9th, 2016
“It’s easy for me to compliment an event when I do good. In this event I absolutely sucked, but I recommend this event to everyone! From the communications to the meeting to the organization of the weigh in and blast off, everything was done professionally and with the anglers in mind. I echo Lenny Devos thanks to all the organizers and volunteers and Ed Huck marine staff for a great event. Definitely the best event in our area in my opinion. Already looking forward to next year and have recommended it to many others as a don’t miss event. Thanks!” Charles Nahm, August 9th, 2016
“Awesome to be a part of this event. Last year was great and this year was even better ! It’s the best tournament in Canada we have.” – Neil Farlow, August 9th, 2016
“I want to thank Hookset marketing and Renegade Bass for all their hard work. It was a super smooth tournament, as usual when Renegade runs it. Every one was commenting how well it was run but none Renegade anglers really noticed it. Thanks to Ed Huck Marina for hosting it, they were flawless.” – Craig Sevink, August 9th, 2016
“What a fun and well run tournament, us Renegade Bass guys are definitely spoiled when it comes to smoothly run tournaments.” – Brad Warren, August 9th, 2016
The event will be held in the Freshwater Capital of Canada beautiful Kingston, Ontario on Lake Ontario & the St. Lawrence River. Our host for the event is the City of Kingston at Portsmouth Olympic Harbour – a large, accessible facility located on the shores of Lake Ontario.
We created this unique event to elevate and showcase the world-class bass fishery we have in the St. Lawrence River and Lake Ontario.
As part of this event, a donation will be made to Queens University in support of Dr. Bruce Tufts and his ongoing freshwater fisheries research program at the university. Dr. Tufts and his team will be also tagging bass at the Thousand Islands Open as part of this ongoing research.
